KMCT TV39 signed on the air for the very first time in 1986 under the direction of Jimmy Thompson of Dove Broadcasting based in Greenville, South Carolina.

After struggling financially Bro. Thompson decided to sell. With a vision for a local Christian television station, Charles Reed formed Lamb Broadcasting and bought KMCT. In 1991 KMCT moved to its current location at 701 Parkwood Dr. in West Monroe, LA. As Lamb Broadcasting continued to grow, it had an opportunity to purchase a low power station in El Dorado, AR. March 1, 1999 KLMB TV23 went on the air under the direction of Duane Amis the station manager.
